VALMIERA DISTRICT


'Valmiera district' (Latvian: Valmieras rajons) (population 60,345 as of 2000 census) is located in Northern Latvia. Its administrative center is Valmiera. It borders Limbaži District to the west, Valka District to the east, Cēsis District to the south and Estonia to the north.
