'Vadalur' is a
panchayat town in
Cuddalore district in the
Indian
state of
Tamil Nadu.

Ramalinga Swamigal popularly called as Vallalar had established Sathyagnana Sabai. The "Thai Poosam" function in December-January is a festival of this place. He sang thousands of songs called "Thiru Arutppa". This district named after him for sometime.

Now vadalur has grown to be one of the notable towns in South Arcod Districts...It is the major POC connecting National highways between Chennai-Kumbakonam-Tanjavur and Cuddalore-Salem-Bangalore
