TRANSLATOR

'Translator' has different meanings in the English language:

★ A person who performs translation of phrases and ideas into different languages (for example Russian translation)

★ A machine translation tool, such as a computer-assisted translation program that translates one language into another

★ An electronic translation dictionary

★ A broadcast translator or repeater, which receives an electromagnetic signal and transmits it on a different frequency to expand a broadcaster's reach

★ In computer science, compilers (especially source-to-source compilers) are often called "translators".

★ Translator (band) A rock band based in San Francisco, California who released 4 albums on the 415 Records label between 1982 and 1986. They are best known for the song "Everywhere That I'm Not"
