'Trailfinders' is the UK's largest independent
travel organization, with travel centres in the UK and Australia. The company specialises in "tailor-made" itineraries to the Far East and Australia. All other parts of the world are also available. The company was formed on the 11th March 1971 by Mike Gooley, an ex-SAS officer, and became a major consolidator for scheduled airlines brought about by the extra capacity of the new Boeing 747. A great deal of charitable donation is made by the organisation to Cancer Research. Mr. Gooley also owns a resort in Australia and a small Airline to fly passengers there. It is usual for Mike Gooley/Trailfinders to be featured in the Sunday Times Rich List were his wealth is estimated at >£200million.
