TIFFANY WELLES

'Tiffany Welles' is one of six female fictional private detectives in the 1976-1981 television series ''Charlie's Angels''. She was played by Shelley Hack and her debut coincided with the 4th season premier. She was Charlie’s 5th angel, replacing the smart one, Sabrina Duncan, as the really smart one. Along with her place as an angel, Tiffany inherited Sabrina's trusty orange Ford Pinto.
Due to generally poor writing, Tiffany was not given a big opening splash, and never had many lines. The first attempts to give any depth to her character began when the season was half over - but it was too little, too late, and viewers had difficulty accepting her.
Tiffany gets explained away in the season 5 opener, saying she decided to stay back east for a while. She is never seen or mentioned again, even in the final episode’s clip show.
