'''The Cool''' is the second
album from
Lupe Fiasco. It is due out on
November 20,
2007 in the
United States according to a recent
Billboard article. The first single is confirmed to be "
Superstar".
Production
Lupe states for this album:
''The Cool'' will be handled in large part by FNF producers.
Fiasco has stated that he would like to round up members of
Pink Floyd to make a guest appearance on the album. Fiasco conceded at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, "Nothing has developed yet. But once the stew gets swirling and people start talking, you never know. I hope it does work out."

Concept
The album shares the title of a song already released on ''
Food & Liquor'' in order to further explore the character about which the song was written.
"The album's called Lupe Fiasco's The Cool and is based around a character that I brought up on the first album. The guy who gets killed and brought back from the dead. It's kind of like his life up until he dies and after he dies. It's very dark. It's kind of like a comic book almost.
The Cool is the little boy from
He Say She Say and he's just one of the characters from past releases who'll re-appear on the new record."
