'Siorapaluk' ('Hiurapaluk' in
Inuktun) is a settlement in the Municipality of
Qaanaaq,
Greenland and is one of the world's
northernmost settlements. While it is not the northernmost settlement of all, it is claimed that it is the northernmost 'naturally inhabited' settlement, arguing that the few settlements that are further north are uninhabited, military outposts, research stations, and the like. Population (January 2005) is 87. Approximate location is . The population of Siorapaluk speak the
Inuktun language of the Polar Inuit as well as
Standard West Greenlandic.
