![]() | Poem: The forest for the trees. A poem of mine, read by me. (I block users that flame. I welcome constructive criticism and dialog. If you're looking to be hateful, please go elsewhere.) The forest for the trees. Every time I walk down this road it's an empty path, a false path. The trees and foliage are all illusion of my own desperate yearning I call out, "Where am I going? Where is this leading?" and I hear the trepid twitter of birds that have no speech, no voice, and no mind of the question; It seems that illusion is all I have and what is that except a yearning for something empty and unyielding Those around me are ready to accept the paper trees and crayon grass but I struggle against it I fight in a singular combat until I find I am fighting myself because no one else fights it; I am weary, tired with this search my quest has lead me into loneliness I lay down on a bed of near regret of lost moments and desires unfulfilled There is so much in life to be had beside this thing I seek If only I could let it go and live my life without the dream that one day I will hear another voice a voice strong like mine that cries out against this thing This great perpetration of lies, half truths, and illusion. I let go a part of me today because today is not the day. S. Elizebeth Turnquist |
![]() | Sword Katana (刀) is the word for "sword" in the Japanese language. It is also used specifically for a type of Japanese backsword or longsword (大刀 daitō) in use after the 1400s: a curved, single-edged sword traditionally used by the samurai. Pronounced [kah-tah-nah] in the kun'yomi (Japanese reading) of the kanji 刀, the word has been adopted as a loan word by the English language; as Japanese does not have separate plural and singular forms, both "katanas" and "katana" are considered acceptable plural forms in English. The katana was typically paired with the wakizashi or shōtō, a similarly made but shorter sword, both worn by the members of the warrior class. It could also be worn with the tantō, an even smaller similarly shaped blade. The two weapons together were called the daishō, and represented the social power and personal honor of the samurai. The long blade was used for open combat, while the shorter blade was considered a side arm, more suited for stabbing, close quarters combat, and seppuku, a form of ritual suicide. The katana was primarily used for cutting, and intended for use with a two-handed grip. While the practical arts for using the sword for its original purpose are now obsolete, kenjutsu and iaijutsu have turned into modern martial arts. The art of drawing the katana and attacking one's enemies is iaidō. Authentic Japanese swords are fairly uncommon today, although genuine antiques can be acquired at significant expense. Modern katana and wakizashi are only made by the few licenced practitioners that still practice making these crafted weapons today, and even the "type 98 katanas" of World War II are rare. |

And no sell your soul. Everything else is ok, jump, mine, rear shot, cloak, rear freeze, freeze, minion special, and napalm. We also allow ourself to pick any level every other round. However, we narrowed it down to singular favorites, mine being NY rooftops and his being Holland. |
![]() | Mugen - Waruskai3 (DOS) Vice - Patch (.94) - FAVORITE AI created by HJK...ALONE Yeah, this is my best patch so far. Facing Don Drago's ken doesn't exactly bring out the beauty in the patch itself because Don Drago's Ken bases itself around strategy meaning that it has singular techniques and Vice is a character coded to mainly react to what the eenemy does. THE VEGA/BISON MATCHES WERE BETTER - IMO Anyway she has some cheap states to combat foes who can break their hittime (get hit - movetype = H) animations into uncontrolled, at most points invulnerable states but other than that she's just really mean. Tok me a good 20 hour period to do this one and it payed of pretty IMHO - Hope you guys like this one XP I kept over some combos that Warusaki3 made but coded them my own way ^_^ I also added in about 20 new states X( Ken Masters - Don Drago Vega/Bison - PotS HERE WE GO - Hang on peeps, this is gunna be a bumpy ride |
![]() | Xenosaga II - Trailer Alternate [PS2] xenosaga II's Alernate Trailer Review: http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/rpg/xenosaga2/index.html The original Xenosaga broke new ground in the staid field of role-playing game narrative upon its release with its singular, intense devotion to storytelling through cinematic sequences and its memorable cast of characters. Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Bose ("Beyond Good and Evil") shares the same spirit as its dramatic predecessor, incorporating new factions, new intrigues, and new faces into a universe already teeming with complex history. The series' momentum adopts a more leisurely pace, however, taking the time to more fully develop the characters and their relationships, to both each other and to the danger represented by the strange artifact called the Zohar. At the same time, this game is shorter than its prequel and features a much more simplified, less robust character advancement system. However, improvements to the game's turn-based combat engine, graphics, and its still-captivating plot ensure that fans of story-driven role-playing games and the Xenosaga series itself will still find much to appreciate about Episode II. Your party members now unleash strikes on enemies according to a specific "zone" on that enemy, such as zone A, B, or C, as well as their ether "magic" attacks. All zones will do some damage, but each enemy has "weak" zones which, if they are struck in a certain order, will inflict break status on them. Breaking an enemy causes that attack to do greater damage, and if you use the boost command to give your party members initiative, you can chain attacks on vulnerable opponents for bonuses. Also, enemies in break can be hit into the air or onto the ground, at which point they can be flayed by party attacks for even greater injury. Each turn taken in battle tends to have a random attribute associated with it, so you can try and time your attacks for critical bars to get bonus damage or to get extra skill points. This sounds like it would make battles almost trivial, but the enemies on offer in Xenosaga Episode II are of a hardy sort. Mindless button mashing will likely get you a dead party of characters, particularly with bosses; careful usage of boosting and breaking are the keys to success. But that's not all. Your characters can also store up to three extra attacks by "stocking" their turns in battle. Someone who gains stock cannot act in that same turn, but then they have an additional attack saved up that you may use when you wish. Stocking is often necessary for double attacks, which are a combined offensive launched by two characters that are acting together. You can also stock when piloting one of the giant mecha robots in the game, which are now known as E.S. robots instead of A.G.W.S. These machines are controlled by two characters at a time, and the robots' abilities reflect those of their pilots. For example, only an E.S. driven by MOMO can use ether spells. Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Bose isn't wholly on par with the original, but it retains a rich narrative and a lot of soul. The battle system tweaks are a welcome addition, along with the updated look. Despite its shortcomings, fans of the series (or those fond of character-driven RPGs with a lot of wordy introspection) would not be remiss to give this game a try. ![]() | Ina: SW2 Chaos Mode: Numata Castle PART1 Here is the first of my SW2 ideal weapons video. With her awesome archery attacks, and ATK+60 should be the first objective. I filled the next three slots with a total of RNG+60, but she doesn't really need it. This will make her close combat attacks much safer to execute. MuCh+40 fills up the rest of her two slots. Looking back at this video now, I have to comment that, going with RNG was a mistake. I will be making a new Ina video, once I find a good Ice weapon for her. She has a very good freezing method, and a Lv3 musou that is very compatible with Ice. Taking out RNG60, I free up three slots. Any suggestions on what I should do to customize my next Ina weapon? Interesting enough...Im having thoughts about SPD. Ina deserves obviously a high tier placement because of extreme defense, very damaging musou, extremely good freezing ability, and incredible Lv3 musou against officers (close to Musashi's) What she doesnt have is an unblockable charge attack. Her musou is also often limited to singular officers. But this all just means that her offense is a notch below Tadakatsu's, and Musashi's. and perhaps Kotaro's, and Yukimura's. Anyhow, she should be close behind these characters. Video Comments: Oh had to stall the beginning a little bit, because sometimes I kill the first officer too quickly and I dont get to complete the missions. The second officer is a good time to show how her archery is limited to flat ground only. Luckily her jump attack is quite abusable with decent filling potential. Ya, she doesn't suffer from any melee confusion (something I really hate). Her archery is so awesome for musou filling. Just fill a little bit, then fill a bit more with her jump attack, and it doesn't take much of a filled musou bar to take out regular officers. lol "A strong offense is the best defense" This is probably why I love Ina so much lol. She speaks my mind. Plus the personality and voice they gave her, owns. Normally, a barely filled 3 tiered musou bar is enough to take out Yukimura, and I suppose any other playable officer. But I messed up. LOL then my next goal was to try to kill him with the last strike, lol it was a total fluke that it happened. I wanted to kill an officer with her jump attack while the officer was on the ground, and again luckily, I was able to include it, against Masayuki. At Masayuki also shows how her arrows are still lightning elemental near the beginning. This is the reason why using her R1+triangle isn't a good idea. LOL the second time with Yukimura I wanted another last hit with the ending of her musou. I was disappointed that it didnt work, but then I was like hey, jump charge time! OMG why the hell do I have that stupid bodyguard equipped...he ruined my musou glory against masayuki. Normally I like to wait until Sakon advances up to the center like he did in this vid to save a bit of time. As I did against Sakon, even though Ina doesn't have straight up, unblockable attacks, after her jump attack is often a good time to catch officers off guard. This probably wont work against Hideyoshi though. |
![]() | Unite or Die (Churches of Birmingham) There is no better way to combat the slowing of this revival than to unite the churches, and specifically, the youth groups, of the area. We must unite, for if we don't, the potential that God has given to this revival will surely die with our passion. Think of what we can do as the Body of Christ that God intended... a singular unit that works together. Sure, there will always be slightly different doctrines, beliefs, and strengths, but if every Christ-centered church could come together, looking past petty disagreements, and use their differences to God's advantage, think of what God can do through us. What a priveledge! We could be so much more effective. So, on Feb. 3rd, 6 pm, at Hunterstreet Church (Hwy. 150), we hope to kick-off a long-term legacy of churches working together to achieve unified goals for th eir com mon/essential focus. Get your youth group and youth minister excited! Mark the date on your calendar and be there. We will be meeting people from churches around the community, praying for each other, our schools, our churches, Birmingham, our nation, and God's world. We will worship as one Christian Church... the Body of Christ |
![]() | sK GTA:IV FORT trailor Im very very pleased to announce that during this summer I will work on a GTA:IV montage movie project. This trailor only exhibits one singular aspect of the greatness that is this game: FORTS! the video will explain it, but it's all about getting an infinite amount of cops pooled at your fortification where you can choose when to throw that explosive into their midst: complete destruction of massive proportions, MAKES FOR SOME SICK FIREWORKS! oh and lastly, the one song I forgot to credit is called 'Flight' by Edge of Dawn. Never used this band before, and I doubt anyone here has heard of it. Im sure most of you will enjoy the purpose of this video and most likely flame me for my terrible combat skills haha..but hey, seriously, 'consider that I had to capture this footage with a miniscule preview screen' on WMM2.. |

![]() | Delta Force 2 INTRO DF2 .: www.KAT.NU :. Delta Force 2 INTRO www.KAT.NU Delta Force 2 is a tactical first-person shooter computer game. It is a member of the Delta Force series of games produced by Novalogic, and a sequel to Delta Force. Delta Force 2 improved over its predecessor in graphics quality, and by improving game balance. Story Line Delta Force 2 follows an unnamed protagonist and his comrades as they partake in various missions. The main character's singular squad name is Bravo Team, also two other squads are present, not counting extras and the Black Hawk Helicopter named Black widow, these are Alpha Team and Charlie team. Each usually consist of two Delta Force teamates. Gameplay The game is in many ways more realistic than most contemporary (and even most current) first-person shooters.[citation needed] Very often, one hit is fatal, although occasionally the player will survive with no ill effect. The single player game is let down by predictable and unchallenging AI but otherwise gives a similar play experience to many other FPS games.[citation needed] In multiplayer play the combination of functionally unlimited maps and accurate ballistics make for unique, well balanced, skill based (not reaction based) combat with levels of tactical play and psychology unparalelled even in recent games (which tend to be optimised for immediate and constant action, not slower tactical play www.KAT.NU |
