SHORT TWENTIETH CENTURY

(Redirected from Short Twentieth Century)
Created in analogy to brother era names felt to overlap specific time periods, the 'Short Twentieth Century' is a term used by some historians to denote the period 19141991 (or perhaps a couple of years later, depending on when one dates the end of the Cold War), where World War I and the fall of the Soviet Union represented such significant changes in world history as to redefine the era.
