SHIMOMASHIKI DISTRICT, KUMAMOTO

'Shimomashiki' (下益城郡; -gun) is a district located in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan.
As of the Uki merger but with 2003 population statistics, the district has an estimated population of 35,058 and a density of 175 persons per km². The total area is 200.50 km².
