Sexual Dimorphism in Pain Syndromes
The UCSD School of Medicine and the Diana Padelford Binkley Foundation bring you the newest installments of this innovative series targeted at successfully managing pain in women. Studies show women often receive inadequate care as pain manifests uniquely in the sexes and requires distinctive treatment strategies. In this program, Jon Levine, M.D., a leading expert from UC San Francisco, talks about the differences in pain syndromes and responses to pain medications in women and men. Series: Pain Management in Women Over the Lifecycle [9/2007] [Health and Medicine] [Professional Medical Education] [Show ID: 12837]

Northern Red Cardinal listen to the music of Paul McCartney in Quebec
The wonderful Red Cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis) - Northern Cardinal, Video taken on January 27, 2008 in the garden behind the house to Quebec, Canada Unfortunately, we do not see at the top on his head his beautiful red crest, it lowers his crest when it makes his territory or when they feel threatened. His feathers of a beautiful bright red invariably attracts the gaze on him. It is very suspicious, discreet and not let in any case approach, but I must say that I was lucky because it did not appear disturbed by my presence because he stayed long enough so that I can take several photographs and a video or it seems appreciate the music of Paul McCartney ... lol This bird is always present at the feeders in the winter, in the early morning and at the end of the afternoon. His singing is superb, as you will hear at sunrise and at the end of the day. The Northern Cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis), also known as the Redbird and the Virginia nightingale, is a North American bird in the Cardinal family. It is found from southern Canada through the eastern United States from Maine to Texas and south through Mexico to northern Guatemala and Belize. It is found in woodlands, gardens, shrublands, and swamps. The Northern Cardinal is a mid-sized songbird with a body length of 21-23 cm (8.3 to 9 inches). It has a distinctive crest on the head and a mask on the face which is black in the male and gray in the female. It displays sexual dimorphism in its coloration; the male is a vibrant red, while the female is a dull red-brown shade. The Northern Cardinal is mainly granivorous, but also feeds on insects and fruit. The male behaves territorially, marking out his territory with song. During courtship, the male feeds seed to the female beak-to-beak. A clutch of three to four eggs is laid, and two to four clutches are produced each year. It was once prized as a pet, but its sale as cage birds is now banned in the United States by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918.
Wild Turkeys by the Road - New Jersey
The Wild Turkey (Meleagris gallopavo) is native to North America and is the heaviest member of the Galliformes. It is one of two species of turkey, the other being the Ocellated Turkey, found in Central and South America. Adult Wild Turkeys have a small, featherless, bluish head; a red throat in males; long reddish-orange to greyish-blue legs; and a dark-brown to black body. The head has fleshy growths called caruncles; in excited turkeys, a fleshy flap on the bill expands, becoming engorged with blood. Males have red wattles on the throat and neck. Each foot has four toes, and males have rear spurs on their lower legs. Turkeys have a long, dark, fan-shaped tail and glossy bronze wings. As with many other species of the Galliformes, turkeys exhibit strong sexual dimorphism. The male is substantially larger than the female, and his feathers have areas of red, purple, green, copper, bronze, and gold iridescence. Female feathers are duller overall, in shades of brown and gray. Parasites can dull coloration of both sexes; in males, coloration may serve as a signal of health.[2] The primary wing feathers have white bars. Turkeys have between 5,000 and 6,000 feathers. Tail feathers have the same length in adults, different lengths in juveniles. Males typically have a "beard" consisting of modified feathers that stick out from the breast. Beards average 9 inches in length. In some populations, 10 to 20 percent of females have a beard, usually shorter and thinner than that of the male. The average weight of the adult male is 8.2 kg (18 lb) and the adult female is 3.2 kg (8 lb). The average length is 1.09 m (3.5 ft) and the average wingspan is 1.44 m (4.8 ft). The record-sized adult male wild turkey, according to the National Wildlife Turkey Federation was (38 lbs).

Falcon birds of prey
Falcons and caracaras are small to medium sized birds of prey, ranging in size from the Black-thighed Falconet, which can weight as little as 35 g, to the Gyrfalcon, which can weigh as much as 1735 g. They have strongly hooked bills, sharply curved talons and excellent eyesight. The plumage is usually composed of browns, whites, chestnut, black and grey, often with barring of patterning. There is little difference the plumage of males and females, although a few species have some sexual dimorphism in boldness of plumage.
Green Jay (Cyanocorax yncas) vocalizing
Cyanocorax yncas is the only green color jay in Mexico. Overall body color is greenish, but underparts and sides of tail are bright yellow, throat patch black and crown and cheeks violet blue. There is no sexual dimorphism. Green Jays are omnivorous birds. Main food items include insects and other arthropods, small vertebrates, seeds, and fruit. Birds usually forage in family flocks.
Sagana Fritillary Butterfly Mating メスグロヒョウモンの交尾行動
Sagana fritillaries (Damora sagana, family Nymphalidae) mating on the leaf. The pair could take to the skies while coupling (tandem flight). As you can see, this species have totally different appearances between males and females (sexual dimorphism). Late-June 2008 in Japan.
Antiguan Racer Feeding on Lizard
Status: Critically Endangered Possibly the world's rarest snake, the Antiguan racer is small, non-venomous and good-natured. Unusually amongst snakes, this species shows dramatic sexual dimorphism with the females being much larger in size than the males and possessing almost the opposite colouration; females are a silvery-grey colour with pale brown blotches and stripes, whereas the males are dark brown with creamy blotches. Threats: This snake was once common in Antigua, but by the twentieth century it had completely disappeared from the island and was thought to be extinct. Black and brown rats were accidentally brought to the West Indies on foreign ships from Europe, wreaking havoc on endemic wildlife including the Antiguan racer whose eggs and young were preyed upon. Re: RACE REALITY AND IQ DISPARITY
Just some more refutation of race realism. Ricklan and Tobias 1986. This paper reports a mean endocranial volume for 50 male and 50 female Zulu of South Africa. The sample came from cadavers which the authors point out come mainly from the lower socioeconomic strata of society. Male cranial volume was 1373.3cc and female volume was 1251.2. This gives a combined sex mean of 1312.3cc. The main point of the paper is to emphasize the low level of sexual dimorphism in this population. The authors review a good deal of material on cranial volume in African populations and report means for 1) American Negros; 2) other African Negros; and 3) South African Negros. Their data (p.289) show largest cranial volumes for South Africans Negros (1310cc mixed sex mean), followed by other African Negros (1285 cc mixed sex mean), and then American Negros (1282cc mixed sex mean). The authors also present some data that suggest a negative secular trend in cranial capacity among the Zulus during the past 100 years (ie. volumes may have been decreasing in time). It is known that Zulus have shown a negative secular trend in stature during the past century and also that stature correlates with cranial volume. Thus a negative secular trend in cranial volume might be expected. Cranial volume measurements of the Zulu in the late 19th century show males with a mean of 1450cc (or a 6% larger volume) at that time.
Postmodernism/Liberalism Ruining the Education System Pt. 1
The arrogance and radical tolerance of postmodernism are destroying the education system. No longer is school about learning and achievement, but about feel-good bullshit. No longer are boys allowed to be boys - they have to either act like girls or get medicated. This is perhaps my angriest video ever, recorded on the 24 July and edited over two days. To keep from enraging you to the point of inciting violence I created perhaps the funniest ending yet. Enjoy.
Postmodernism/Liberalism Ruining the Education System Pt. 2
Part Two The sequel to All Hell Breaks Loose! is never going to get out of publisher's limbo so I put some pictures from the book in this video. Enjoy. http://thefire.org/index.php/article/5190.html From the above article: Two iconic images emerge from this unseemly rout: that of a male Harvard president running for cover because he dares ask an "offensive" question, and that of a female professor promoting the sexist stereotype of the weak, vulnerable woman who gets nauseated, throws up, and has to leave the room for her smelling salts when she encounters an idea she finds threatening. Quite a pair of role models! And yet it is Summers who is attacked for demeaning women.
