Mole Control
Moles can be a real problem in gardens and I can guarantee at this time of the year that several people will ask me how to get rid of them. Unfortunately, there is no easy answer and the best way is to try several methods until you find one that works. Even then if you manage to catch or deter a mole it's not always the end of the problem. For much of the year moles are solitary have their own territory. If you catch the little fellow, his neighbour will take advantage of the tunnel system and move in. I'm lucky in the fact that I don't get moles on the heavy clay part of my garden, but where the soil is lighter and sandy-loam, there are usually a few mole hills. Where the moles are a real nuisance, it might be worth getting in mole catcher. They are licensed to used products that home-gardeners can get which poison the moles in their deep tunnels. However, if you want to have a go at controlling them yourself, here are a few suggestions...
