'Ryūgasaki' (龍ヶ崎市; -shi) is a city located in Ibaraki, Japan.

As of 2007, the city has an estimated population of 79,112. The total area is 78.19 km².
Ryugasaki is sometimes considered part of the Greater Tokyo Area. Many residents commute to central Tokyo.
The city is the hometown of the JFL semi-pro team, Ryutsu Keizai University.
The city was founded on March 20, 1954.

Industry


Ryugasaki city has well-known crystal glass factory. The founder received a prize for his work in international exhibition in Paris of 1937. At present, these crystal glasses are used in the Imperial Palace.
