ROBERT YEOMAN


'Robert David Yeoman, A.S.C.', who was born on 10 March, 1951 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is an American cinematographer.
He spent his childhood in the northern suburbs of Chicago.
Yeoman's first filmwork was done as a second unit gaffer for the 1982 film ''Chasing Dreams'', directed by Therese Conte and Sean Roche. Shortly after, he landed his first job as cinematographer for Alexandre Rockwell's production, ''Hero'' (1983). Moving on as a Director of Photography, Robert filmed a number of television series as well as motion-pictures. In 1995, he met then up-and-coming director Wes Anderson, and has since worked on every Anderson film, including ''Bottle Rocket'' (1996), ''Rushmore'' (1998),''The Royal Tenenbaums'' (2001) and ''The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou'' (2004). ''The Royal Tenenbaums'' was partially based on members of the family of Walter Karnas, Yeoman's brother-in-law.
