Bad Religion - Blenderhead lyrics
Words and music by Mr. Brett Transgression may be: a legal transgression, a crime usually created by a social or economic boundary a social transgression, violating a norm a Biblical transgression, violation of God's ten commandments; sin (1 John 3:4) Transgression (LDS theology), a violation of religious law without the perpetrator's understanding Transgression (geology), an event during which sea level rises relative to the land, resulting in coastal flooding Transgression (album), a 2005 album by the Los Angeles metal group Fear Factory Transgression (novel), a science fiction novel by Randall Ingermanson Transgressions (novel) a novel based in the English Civil War by Erastes Transgressions (journal), a journal of urban exploration edited by alastair bonnett Transgressive art, a type of art that goes against basic norms or mores Transgressional fiction, a form of literature Against the Grain is the fifth album (and seventh release overall) by punk rock band Bad Religion released on November 23, 1990.[1] This is the last album recorded with drummer Pete Finestone who left in 1991 to concentrate with The Fishermen and was replaced by the next drummer Bobby Schayer shortly before their 6th release, Generator. Along with the last two albums (1988's Suffer and 1989's No Control), Against the Grain is considered by many to be the band's greatest album, and it contains many songs that are constantly cited as the band's best, including "21st Century (Digital Boy)", "Anesthesia," "Walk Away," and "Modern Man."[citation needed] More than just an influentual album, Against The Grain gave many punk fans and many punk bands hope for the survival of punk in the 90s. Like Bad Religion's albums up to Generator, Against the Grain was remastered on April 6, 2004. The 1990 original version is now out of print. Brett said the song is about "how it feels to question too often and too deeply." There is a British band named after the song and another band (American) also called Blenderhead but, according to them, they didn't name their band after the song. Against the Grain also marks the 10th anniversary of Bad Religion playing together after their formation.
