 | Coast Guard Rescues Logger from Redwood Forest McKinleyville, Calif. -- The U.S. Coast Guard safely hoisted an injured logger, Roy Webster, from the Redwood forest this afternoon. Group Humboldt Bay received a call from "Green Diamond" stating that Mr. Webster had possibly fractured both of his legs. An HH65C helicopter was launched from Air Station Humboldt Bay at approximately 12:00 p.m. and arrived on- scene 22 minutes later. Mr. Webster was located 15 miles Northwest of Orick just East of highway 101 in a deep ravine. The helicopter, piloted by CDR Rick Christoffersen, LCDR Mark Fluitt, Flight Mechanic Jake Marks and Rescue Swimmer Chuck Brannan navigated the steep terrain and performed the hoist from an altitude of 150 feet. Mr. Webster was medevac'd to the Air Station in McKinleyville where an awaiting ambulance transported him to St. Joseph's hospital. |

 | Cruis'n USA -- Redwood Forest is the Coolest 1:21.63 with the purple Corvette. Man, this level is only slightly easier than Chicago. The thing is the other drivers get in the way and if you find yourself behind early, you'll be playing bumper cars with them the whole way. Not to mention it's way too easy to rub against the side of the road and lose speed; even worse, you fly off the track. Those two corkscrews at the end of the forest are really tough and almost impossible to get through flawessly. Well, the rest is pretty easy sailing. OMG--A DRUNK DRIVER!! SIKE!!! |
