'Prince Ferdinand Maria Andrea Alfonso Marcus of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro' (born 28 May 1926) is a claimant to the headship of the House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies.

Biography


He was born in Podzameze the son of Prince Ranieri, Duke of Castro and Countess Carolina Zamoyska (1896-1968). Prince Ferdinand was the first member of the Two Sicilies royal family to serve in the French Armed Forces. He succeeded as head of the House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies on his fathers abdication in 1966. He is Grand Master of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George and the Royal Order of Francis I. He has been decorated with several dynastic and state orders.[1]

Marriage and children


He was married in Giez on the 23 July 1949 to Chantal of Chevron-Villette (1925-2005), they had three children.
