![]() | Rick Warren - Religious Pluralism - These Bridges Are False! Rick Warren - "Can't we just all get along?" & "...I don't care why you do good, as long as you do good" both Rick Warren Quotes at Davos 2008. Is this the answer, anybody see a problem with this? Sound off please!!! All things to all people - He plugs his book at the end of the video (not shown), he slides that in but forgets about mentioning the true gospel. Watch (portion below credited to) http://www.sliceoflaodicea.com "...carefully again, and you will see where Rick Warren is taking evangelicals. His beliefs about pluralism explain why he can go to Jewish synagogues and never mention the name of Christ, or appear at secular conferences or shows like "Cmdy Centrl" -omitted- and never once mention Jesus and the way of eternal salvation. He's content to let them believe what they want, he'll believe what he wants, while we meanwhile all hold hands, talk endlessly about "God" smiling down on us as we fulfill our purposes and work to solve the world's problems. (Not, of course, the problem of eternal damnation of souls who are lost without Jesus Christ. I am not sure Rick even believes this any longer. You cannot believe in the Gospel and believe that Christ is the only way to heaven, and fail to share it with so many who are on their way to hell.) |

"Can Shari'ah Be Accommodated In the West?" by Muneer Fareed Purchase the full-length lecture at http://www.MeccaCentric.com or call 1-800-607-9810 The rapid growth of the Muslim population in Western countries has spurned much discussion and debate about the role of religious law in secular systems. The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Rowan Williams, suggested in a 2008 speech that the shari'ah may very well have to be accommodated in the United Kingdom. This "controversial" speech, along with the firestorm of criticism that ensued, served as the inspiration for this speech by Muneer Fareed about shari'ah in the West. At the University of Florida, Dr. Fareed seeks to sort out the many complicated issues involved in such a relevant topic. What exactly is the shari'ah and how is it commonly misunderstood? What aspects of shari'ah are already being implemented in the West? Is shari'ah compatible with religious plurality? And how does the average person deal with the issue of radicalization of the shari'ah by some Muslims. A highly intellectual and thought-provoking lecture that analyzes Islamic law within the context of the ever-expanding global village and the implications it may have on the existing social structure. Other topics discussed: freedom within the shari'ah, Islamic law regarding women and homosexuals, ignoring context when comparing women's rights, and the prospect of shari'ah as a benefit to American society.
