United States. The population was 10,520 at the 2000 census.

mi²). 22.0 km² (8.5 mi²) of it is land and 1.0 km² (0.4 mi²) of it (4.28%) is water.
Demographics
As of the
census of 2000, there were 10,520 people, 3,985 households, and 2,845 families residing in the village. The
population density was 477.9/km² (1,238.2/mi²). There were 4,133 housing units at an average density of 187.7/km² (486.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 96.82%

married couples living together, 8.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.6% were non-families. 20.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.63 and the average family size was 3.11.
In the village the population was spread out with 28.8% under the age of 18, 9.8% from 18 to 24, 32.1% from 25 to 44, 22.9% from 45 to 64, and 6.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 98.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.0 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $51,238, and the median income for a family was $60,146. Males had a median income of $40,206 versus $26,521 for females. The
per capita income for the village was $23,085. About 4.2% of families and 6.0% of the population were below the
poverty line, including 8.0% of those under age 18 and 4.3% of those age 65 or over.
