![]() | Detroit Boat Co. Wood and Canvas Canoe This canoe is part of the collection of the Canadian Canoe Museum in Peterborough, Ontario. It's the product of the Detroit Boat Company (Michigan, USA, 1906-1916) and is in original, unrestored condition. The deck is similar to those of the Old Town Canoe Company, so this canoe may be misidentified for that reason, if the brass medallion is missing. Lines of the canoe will be different from Old Town models. Serial number on bow stem or both stems, usually canoe's length, with a space, followed by s/n. Questions may be posted to "Forums" at www.wcha.org. |
