 | Knitting Shorties on the Bond USM This is 1/2 of a pair of shorties (I knit the right and left sides seperate and then seam together). The speed is set at 450% so that you won't be sitting here forever watching, lol. This one half took approx 40 mins to knit, so times that by two (both halves) and thats 1hr and 20 mins, plus I then have to sew up the seems by hand, and then add on a design if that pair calls for one. so anywhere from 1hr40mins - 3hrs depending on if there is a design. And that is for a small/med size. You will see me look up at my computer a few times, I have my pattern I made up on the screen so I know how many stitches/row to do for each part. These are knit from the waist to the cuff, so they are upside down as you look at them being knit. I do a ribbed waistband, short rows for the bum, increases for the crotch area, and a seed stitch cuff. |
