Some of you may not know this but Jayne County, renowned Queen of Punk, legendary Stonewall veteran and acclaimed memoirist is a prolific artist, constantly drawing and painting. Her artwork has been seen in different galleries across the USA and most recently at the Transfabulous Visual Arts Group Show in London UK. I wanted to show you some of her work in detail.  | McCracken County Mass Convention 3-15-08 Saturday I encourage you to rate and comment on the video please. At the McCracken county mass convention, I think it is fair to say we experienced a concerted effort to completely shut us out. I can't speak for anybody else, but aren't the rules governing elections at a convention supposed allow a fair counting of the votes? We went to the convention to become a part of the process. I know most of you know how it would be so out of character for any of us to even be rude. Before the convention started, I asked Richard Grana how many names they had on their slate of delegates. He told me forty. I told him I had some names we would like to add to the slate. He said I could do that when the nomination committee gave their report. As the nominating committee read off the names, I counted them. Forty-Four. I raised my hand to be acknowledged by the chair. The chair did not recognize me and proceeded to call the vote. Being to polite to cause a ruckas I continued to hold up my hand. Finally, the Chairman recognized me. I made note that only 44 delegates were on the list and that the county was entitled to send 46. (Actually, the rules require 46) I asked to have two names added. We eventually asked for a hand count and even that was ignored (which Roberts rules forbid, requests for hand counts MUST be honored). Was that to much to ask? We made zero disturbance to the conducting of business (is this not supposed to be OUR party as well?) We simply asked for two of our names to be added to the slate of delegates to make our county total 46, as the call to the state convention stipulates, and were refused a hand count when it was asked for. I wonder what they were told about us? I told the new county chairman that I intended to appeal the outcome. I will keep you informed as this develops. I estimate there were a total of 75 - 80 attendees, maybe 20 -25 of us "Ron Paul Supporters". I felt there were actually some sympathizers there. Many of these people are simply fighting against the Dems. Since we stand on ideas of transparency, truth and justice, some may side with us, if we do our work effectively. Dave |
