But he also brings learning to live with one's self. The wolf teaches us to learn about our inner self and to find our inner power and strength. But to achieve this, we must take risks and face our deepest fears. A wolf totem demands sincerity. This totem demands a lot of us but gives us much in return; a spirit helper that is always there to help and gives us extraordinary powers of endurance. He reminds us to listen to our inner thoughts and trust our insights. They remind us not to waste resources and to learn how to avoid trouble and confrontations. People with Wolf totems have the capacity to make quick and firm emotional attachments. Trust your insights about these attachments. Wolf will guide you. Take control of your life with Wolf's help and do so with harmony and discipline. ***NEWS FLASH*** Judge restores protection for Rockies wolves Sat Jul 19, 12:36 AM ET BILLINGS, Mont. - A federal judge has restored endangered species protections for gray wolves in the Northern Rockies, derailing plans by three states to hold public wolf hunts this fall. U.S. District Judge Donald Molloy in Missoula granted a preliminary injunction late Friday restoring the protections for the wolves in Montana, Wyoming and Idaho. In his ruling, Molloy said the federal government had not met its standard for wolf recovery, including interbreeding of wolves between the three states to ensure healthy genetics. "Genetic exchange has not taken place," Molloy wrote in the 40-page decision. Molloy said hunting and state laws allowing the killing of wolves for livestock attacks would likely "eliminate any chance for genetic exchange to occur." Molloy will eventually decide whether the injunction should be permanent. PROTECTING THE WOLVES: February 22, 2008 DENVER — The Bush administration on Thursday announced an end to federal protection for gray wolves in Montana, Wyoming and Idaho, concluding that the wolves were reproductively robust enough to survive. A coalition of wildlife and environmental groups dismissed the government's claims and announced plans for a lawsuit to reverse the decision, which is to take effect next month. Advocates for the animals said there were too few wolves to make a genetically sound population, and that state plans to manage wolf populations were underfinanced and fueled by a long-simmering animosity against wolves that could drive them back to threatened status. "The numbers are inadequate and the state programs are, too," said a senior wildlife advocate at the Natural Resources Defense Council, a conservation group that is participating in the planned lawsuit. From a base population of 66 wolves introduced into Yellowstone National Park and central Idaho in the mid-1990s, there are now nearly 1,300, with an additional 230 or so in Montana that have drifted down from Canada. State management plans allow for wolf hunting, or outright eradication in some places — including most of Wyoming — with a target population of 150 in each of the three states. Biologists cited by the environmental and wildlife groups say that target population is too small, and suggest instead that 2,000 to 3,000 animals are the minimum needed. Gray wolves were first protected in 1974, one of the first animals to be covered by the Endangered Species Act, which was passed a year earlier. But it turned out there were none left to protect across most of the West. That led to the idea of reintroduction, which began in 1995. "We're not at recovery yet," said Doug Honnold, the managing attorney at the Northern Rockies office of Earthjustice, a nonprofit legal group based in Oakland, CA. "We're in the neighborhood, we're close, but we're not there." Removing federal protections now, Mr. Honnold said, would violate the language of the Endangered Species Act that requires decision makers to use the best possible science in determining a viable target population. Federal officials said their science was sound. What do YOU THINK? This piece was played on a David R. Maracle Flute - a very unique design - anyone interested should check out www.davidRmaracle.com
Lawsuit victory is a first for cellphone users
Sharesa Price thought it was just another in a series of sinus infections. Her head and eyes hurt, and she was vomiting. But then Price had a seizure, and a brain scan found something far more troubling. "When I got home, the phone was ringing. It was the doctor's office, and they told me, `Brace yourself. Honey, you have a brain tumor.' I was standing by the refrigerator, and I just collapsed, saying, `no, no, no, it can't be a brain tumor,'" she recalled. After her diagnosis in 1999 and surgery to remove most of the tumor, Price started looking for answers. She became convinced that exposure to radio-frequency radiation on the job, where she programmed cell phones for new customers, had caused the tumor. In May, an administrative law judge who handles worker's compensation claims awarded her $30,000 to pay her medical bills and other expenses. Price may be the first person to convince a judge that her illness was caused by radio-frequency radiation. The decision is unlikely to have widespread repercussions for the cell phone industry, however, because the settlement was small. Price's customers at Advanced Communications Systems in northern California were doctors, firefighters, police departments and security departments for casinos, and she loved her work. She used a cell phone several hours each day, and the room in which she worked contained transmitters that emitted radio-frequency radiation, she said. Price said when she filed a workers comp claim, her boss fired her, eliminating her health insurance. Then she lost the case. The Native American single mother of two daughters was devastated. She turned to Tribal Health, a government health agency for Native Americans, to get anti-seizure medication. "If I hadn't been Indian, I would have died," she said. Her former boss, Dave Bohlen, said that he did not fire Price, that she quit based on her doctor's advice that she not return to work there. Bohlen said he dropped the insurance because she was no longer an employee. He called her worker's comp case "frivolous" and said there was no proof her tumor was caused by working in his small shop. "There's nothing harmful going on here," he said. After Price recovered from brain surgery, she went to the Internet and found researchers studying the biological effects of radio-frequency radiation, and got to know them. "I would call them up and say, `You are absolutely dead on. If a rat could talk, this is what it would say. I'm the human rat.' " Price couldn't find an attorney to take her case until she contacted Carl Hilliard, a semi-retired lawyer and president of the Wireless Consumers Alliance, a California-based consumer-advocacy group. Hilliard volunteered to represent her pro bono and re-filed her workers comp case. Hilliard said his group has represented cell phone users in issues involving poor service, billing problems and misrepresentations by cell phone service providers. "We're the ones who filed a case saying federal law does not pre-empt state law [on consumer issues] and won that case four years ago," Hilliard said. Hilliard brought in Dr. Nachman Brautbar, an occupational toxicologist and clinical professor of medicine at the University of Southern California School of Medicine, to review Price's medical records. Brautbar has been an expert witness in a number of high-profile cases, including the chromium poisonings from polluted drinking water portrayed in the movie Erin Brockovich. Brautbar reviewed Price's case and wrote a report supporting her claim that the tumor was caused by exposure to radio-frequency radiation. "It's not a money issue, suing the company, it's a health and safety issue," said Price, who speaks to school assemblies and classes about the need to use a headset when talking on a cell phone. "We need to explain to people that just like putting on condoms, you have to take this precautionary measure to make the product be as safe as it can be. http://www.emfnews.org
Interview: Zimbabwe Ambassador
LaRouche Show Interview: Zimbabwe Ambassador Mapuranga For information on the British destablization efforts against africa visit: http://larouchepac.com Zimbabwe's Ambassador to the U.S., Dr. Machivenyika Mapuranga, was the featured guest on the LaRouche Show Saturday, April 12. In dialogue with EIR's Lawrence Freeman and Portia Tarumbwa Strid, Ambassador Mapuranga provided the historical backdrop to the current British power play in Zimbabwe. Freeman reminded the audience that this is one of many British power plays and destabilizations around the globe today, as the Brits attempt to ensure their hold on power, now that their financial system has collapsed. Ambassador Mapuranga explained that the current delay in finalizing the presidential vote count in Zimbabwe is the result of numerous discrepancies between the results posted publicly at the 8,000 polling places, and the tally sheets sent to Harare. He also referred to the tension created in the country by opposition leader and British tool Morgan Tsvangirai, who claims to have won the presidency -- without need for a runoff -- with 50.3% of the vote. His 50.3% is his unsupported claim, but {even if it were true}, 51% is needed to avoid a runoff, under the Constitution. Tsvangirai is steered and paid for by the British. This is no secret, Mapuranga said: The three major British parties -- Conservative, Labour, and Liberal -- vie with each other in the size of their contributions to the relevant conduit, the Westminster Foundation, whose website anyone can visit. In 2007, a State Department report said point blank that the U.S. is supporting Tsvangirai's Movement for Democratic Change (MDC). Before independence in 1980, Ambassador Mapuranga explained, Zimbabwe -- or Southern Rhodesia as it then was -- was one of the five British imperial "white man's countries" in the common parlance of British official correspondence preserved in the Public Record Office [now renamed the National Archives]. Those five were Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, and Southern Rhodesia. The plan was to increase the white populations of the latter two until they outnumbered the Africans. In Southern Rhodesia, the ratio went from 1:17,000 in the 1890s when the British first conquered the country, to 1:13 in 1961, at the peak. The Brits took the best lands and herded the African majority into "Native Reserves" of only 25% of the territory. "That's why we had to fight a 14-year war of independence, from 1966-1979," and why the British {still} think they own the place. What especially worries the British is the Zimbabwe government's return of land from European settlers to Africans, and that South Africa and Namibia have begun to follow Zimbabwe's lead, even if only on a small scale so far. Sanctions began after the start of the land redistribution program in 2000. But the standard British and State Department line is, "What sanctions? We only have `targetted sanctions' against the funds and travel of government leaders," which is a total lie. For example, the British-inspired U.S. Zimbabwe Democracy and Economic Recovery Act of 2001 instructed all U.S. members of international financial institutions to oppose and vote against any loans, credits, or guarantees for Zimbabwe. In 2004, Prime Minister Tony Blair said publicly, "Our policy toward Zimbabwe is regime change." Did he propose to do that with nothing more than "targetted sanctions" and support for Tsvangirai? Another deception, according to Portia Tarumbwa Strid, is the claim that the collapse of Zimbabwe's economy is not the result of the economic vise-grip (which of course, doesn't exist!), but rather because Africans don't know how to farm. She pointed out that the big white-owned farms were operated and managed by Africans! The white cash-crop policies were the problem. What Zimbabwe needs is water management systems, other infrastructure, nuclear power, and nuclear irradiation to prevent crop spoilage. Other African leaders support Mugabe, Ambassador Mapuranga said, because they know that if the Brits get control of Zimbabwe, their countries will be next. That applies with special force to South Africa. There is a new determination of African people to take their destiny into their own hands, Portia Tarumbwa Strid emphasized, but they are being obstructed by the British and their allies.
Tomislav Ivcic - Veceras je nasa festa - www.croradio.net
One of the greatest Croatian songs from one of the greatest Croatian singers. All time classic Croatian song. Tomislav Ivcic (1953 -- March 4, 1993) was a Croatian singer, songwriter and politician. He died in a car accident and is buried in Zagreb at the Mirogoj Cemetery. A native of Zadar, Tomislav Ivcic became one of the most popular singers and songwriters thanks to his appearances on 1970s pop music festivals. His specialty was pop music inspired by Dalmatian folklore. Tomislav Ivcic also wrote and performed Veceras je naša fešta, a song that would become semi-official anthem of Dalmatia, often sung and performed whenever a Dalmatian athlete or sports team won a title or important game. During the war in Croatia, Ivcic wrote the song Stop the War in Croatia which was something of a hit. It even charted in the Top 10 in Australia in 1991. In 1990 Tomislav Ivcic also became a member of Croatian Democratic Union. In February 1993 he ran as his party's candidate for House of Chambers of Croatian Parliament. He won a seat. Few weeks before he was supposed to take office and shortly after a Globus interview in which he was described as "first Croatian senator", his automobile was involved in traffic accident that would claim his and lives of three more people. His older half-brother Ðani Maršan is also accomplished singer and songwriter.
Poison ivy: double the size, double the trouble
MILTON -- Poison ivy on steroids? It's serious science, but the weed wags are having a field day. Even the plant physiologist who predicts a greener, meaner and bigger breed of the three-leafed hazard jokes: "Soon it will be knocking on your bedroom windows." The scientist, Lewis Ziska, grew up in East Falmouth and remembers the aftereffects of an encounter with the infamous plant as a childhood rite of passage. He now works for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Beltsville, Md. In a new study with Duke University recently published in Weed Science, Ziska and colleagues confirmed earlier predictions that poison ivy plants have doubled in size since the 1950s because of rising carbon dioxide levels. The ivy's rash-producing oil is also more toxic. And if environmental trends continue, it will just get nastier. Over the past 50 years, Ziska said, carbon dioxide levels have increased and poison ivy appears to have thrived. "It got bigger, faster," he said. Other plants like dandelions and honeysuckle have also bulked up with extra carbon dioxide, but poison ivy has enjoyed the biggest power boost so far. The plant's vines became sturdier, the leaves larger and their oily residue more virulent. Rashes and blisters appear on the skin, and even swollen eyes can linger for weeks in the most sensitive people. "What we did was look at records of the carbon dioxide levels going back to the 1950s," Ziska said. "A relatively small increase of 100 parts per million -- from 300 particles in the 1950s to 400 in recent samples -- was a bonanza for the poison ivy plants. The leaves doubled in size with that relatively small change." By 2050, carbon dioxide levels are expected to increase another 100 ppm, to 500 ppm, and the leaves likely will become significantly larger, he said. Climate scientists also cite increasing amounts of carbon dioxide as a principal driver of global warming. South Shore residents already have their hands full -- or not, if they're smart -- with poison ivy. "It's summer and it is everywhere," said Wendy Fox, spokesman for the state Department of Conservation and Recreation. Stephen and Deborah Little bought their home on Bunker Hill Lane on the edge of the Blue Hills Reservation in Quincy five years ago. They soon found their property, secluded and surrounded by woods, came with both deer, which they like, and poison ivy, which they spray, as it creeps up to their backyard borders and around the driveway. "It's literally everywhere," said Stephen Little, a house painter. "You just live with it. I get a very itchy rash -- it usually lasts up to 14 days." He and his wife walk their dog in the woods and while he gets the rash, his wife Deborah said, "I've never had it, I must be immune." About 80 to 90 percent of the population is allergic to poison ivy, which causes an immune reaction in which white blood cells attack skin cells, causing the rash. At Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, seasonal park supervisor Lucas Recore, 26, is very familiar with the wily weed. Recore carries small yellow packets of a chemical skin protector in his pockets when he goes into the woods. He also gives them to others. The product claims to prevent or ease the rash after someone has been exposed and Recore says it works. On the bulletin board at the campground check-in office is a flier with illustrations and tips on of what the plant looks like. "It's all along the borders, you see it around the edges of the paths and roads, and we had one man come in to the office complaining about a really bad case," he said. "We warn people to look for it." A quick trip around the campground recently turned up one couple who had been volunteer host campers for three-months. They had successfully avoided poison ivy during their visit. Another, younger couple said they wouldn't know what it looks like. Even though poison ivy is bad on the South Shore, it's worse elsewhere. "It's nothing here like what I saw in the South," said Recore, a Rhode Island native who has worked for the U.S. Forest Service all over the Southeast. "I've seen poison ivy vines so big they stand up by themselves, like trees -- vines that are two inches around -- but I've never seen it that bad here." The state tries to keep the hearty ivy at bay. "It's in all our parks and we try to control it in areas that are heavily used, like picnic tables and paths to the bathrooms," Fox said. "The workers used to pull it out by the roots, but they were getting the rash, even with gloves, so now we spray it with a mild pesticide that has the chemical glycosate. "That gets to the roots, and you have to spray the roots because if just the leaves and vines are cut off, it grows back," she added. "It's a survivor." John McCain: Rally 01/15/08
John McCain Rally Charleston, SC 01/15/08 TRANSCRIPT: MCCAIN: "Well, my friends. Thank you, thank you all. For a minute there in New Hampshire, I thought this campaign might be getting easier. But you know what, we got pretty good at doing things the hard way too. And I think we've shown them, we don't mind a fight. We don't mind a fight. Today the people of Michigan have spoken, and I respect their decision, and I commend them for showing their commitments as citizens of the greatest nation on earth. And I'm very grateful for the courtesy and consideration you gave our campaign, for braving the cold and the snow, to listen to me and for giving me the opportunity to listen to you. And especially so to those of you who bestowed on me your vote. It's a great privilege. And of course, I'm very grateful to our Michigan team and all our volunteers, who kept us competitive. I won't forget you and I won't let you down. Thanks to our Michigan team. And I want to thank Cindy for her hard work and faith in me, and all of you tonight who are ready for the challenge ahead. We're ready for the challenge ahead my friends. God bless all of you as you have blessed me. I congratulate Governor Romney on his victory tonight. He and his campaign worked hard and effectively to make sure that Michigan voters welcomed their native son with their support. Michigan voters were good to the native son and I understand that and support their decision. You won the round and earned a celebration tonight and I salute Governor Romney and his team and offer my genuine good wishes to them. Tonight we have no cause to be discouraged or to second guess what we might have done differently. We did what we always do, we went to Michigan and we told people the truth. We're always telling the truth. And I'm as committed as ever in making sure that no state, whether it's Michigan or South Carolina or anywhere in this blessed country is left behind in the global economy. But that global economy is here to stay and is constantly changing, as you all know. To compete more successfully in it, we must better prepare American workers and students to seize it's opportunities. That's how we build a stronger and more prosperous America. That's what I told the people of Michigan, and I honestly don't believe I could have told them anything else, my friends. Now, it's South Carolina's turn to decide. I've long admired the deep patriotism of the people of this state. So many of your sons and daughters risk their lives today to keep the rest of us safe, as so many South Carolinians have done in past wars. I'm humbled by their example but proud to claim that their cause is my cause. I have no intention of giving one inch of ground, tiring of the fight, or let the political debate stop me from doing what must be done to keep this nation safe, prosperous, and proud. Against this great enemy of radical Islamic extremism, I promise you we will never surrender, they will. They will surrender, we won't surrender. My friends, I'm running for president to defeat an enemy for whom no attack is too cruel. Who will not stop attacking us until they are defeated. The challenge will require experience and proven leadership, and my friends, I can honestly say I've prepared my whole life for this moment. In uniform, and in office. In war, and in peace. I've learned how to lead a nation in war, I know how to keep us safe. I've been involved in every major national security issue of our times. I have met and taken the measure of the world's leaders. Those who are friends, and those who are not. I understand the capabilities, the needs, and the sacrifices of the men and women in the United States Armed Forces better than any other candidate in this race and I intend to be our commander in chief. And I intend to be a commander in chief that will provide them with leadership that is as strong, principled, and tireless as their service to our country. They've earned a thousand times over our gratitude and most importantly, our unwavering dedication to making sure they do not sacrifice in vain. I will not let them down, so help me God. I am so proud, my friends, to be an American. And never more so than when our country confronts a great challenge. For I have learned through long experience, that while we can be stronger than our enemies in men and material, we're stronger still in ideals. I've pledged my life to those ideals and I run for president to defend them still. Our cause is America. MARILYN MONROE & MARK BELLINGHAUS PROTEST DUET # 2 1961/2007
http://laworderjustice.blogspot.com/2007/11/marilyn-monroe-activist-mark.html UPDATE: Restraining Order Granted! On November 9, 2007, Hon. Gerald Rosenberg, the highest judge of the Santa Monica Superior court overruled his own decision and ruling which he made on September 17, 2007, in terms of the stalking, harassing and threatening actions--executed by the defendant in this case, Mr. Eric Woodard, 45, from Bartow, FL. Mr. Woodard flew in for the this case for a second time and his lawyers were asking again Mr. Bellinghaus for damages and lawyers fees. The plaintiff Mark Bellinghaus was acting again as his own lawyer and after being called 'a loser' by Eric Woodard's two attorneys (in their closing statement), Mr. Bellinghaus, who had the last word and was able, after his very moving closing statement, which again spilled out the crazy threats of Eric Woodard and which asked for the protection of four American and one German citizen, to turn Mr. Woodard and his two attorneys, Mr. Kenneth H. Lewis, Esq. & Mr. Stephen G. Rodriguez into what they really became after the over three hours lasting case: LOSERS! http://protestperformanceart.blogspot.com/ Read info click.... http://www.pr-inside.com/marilyn-monroe-activist-report-against-obsessive-s-r161875.htm Statement by Mark Bellinghaus: Shame on all of you, who did not stand up, walked out of this chapel in order to support Ernest W. Cunningham and me and to distance yourself from these creeps who give year after year some vicious criminals like Bebe Goddard, Dorothy Broekaert, Debbie Jasgur, etc. and sexual predators like Donald Spoto and James Spada (who on top of his shocking and scary pass he made on me never warned, never revealed to me, that he had full blown AIDS), a welcome stage, a "jump board" so to speak, in order to defraud --to harm the public with their fakes, their lies and their claims to show you "Marilyn Monroe documents" but then fill you up with champagne and make a forceful move on you...! The topic "AIDS" in form of a vicious threat would face me just just six years after the James Spada incident, again. Eric M Woodard, 45, and a psychotic, obsessive, ruthless stalker would threaten me on top of that with burglary and physical harm. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCKLCnHz3Fc And as I stood outside the chapel, I screamed my anger and my disappointment at these people--inside the chapel! If Greg Schreiner would have interrupted the service--stepped outside and declared that Woodard wasn't present or that I should stop this protest, I would have done it immediately. But they all went on as if nothing happened and that seemed to all of us who witnessed this--onlookers who witnessed this and who are supporting us now, as if the crowd inside the chapel was guilty. I saw Eric M Woodard with my own eyes rushing into the administrative office of the cemetery. If it hadn't been so seriously--if Eric Woodard would not have threatened on top of Ernest and me also the brave Jennifer J. Dickinson and her two little toddlers, it would all have looked like a farce. But the entire scenery was bizarre and really absurd. I hope that this was the last "Memorial Service" of that nature. I think I made it clear, that there should never be a repeat--because they have all caused too much harm--to too many people! Before Eric M Woodard came to Los Angeles, CA from his native Bartow, FL, for this event, he posted on his blog a crazy statement and another--a last threat. He claimed that one of us would "go down in flames" and it would not be him. Showing a photo of the exploding and burning Hindenburg zeppelin. He seemed to have forgotten, that 36 people have lost their life's during that shocking catastrophe. But then again: what means a life to a person, who was looking for years for a "big bang" before his own life is over...?! I think I delivered the big bang for Mr. Woodard--just the way he was hoping for. He will forever be remembered: as a freak, an obsessive stalker who had potential, with a nice book, but he blew it all--due to his hate, his jealousy and his evil personality. Traitor of Marilyn Monroe. Backstabber and sellout, too! What a shame. What a waste. Sad. "Just open your eyes. The proof is right in front of you--always!" Mark Bellinghaus Is this the real, the true face of Marilyn Monroe fans who attack your for over 24 months and hope that you would just go away and shut up, because they use intimidation tactics like the Nazis did it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKCny7Izcug Protest expresses relatively overt reaction to events or situations: sometimes in favor, though more often opposed. Protesters may organize a protest as a way of publicly and forcefully making their opinions heard in an attempt to influence public opinion or government policy, or may undertake direct action to attempt to directly enact desired changes themselves. http://friendsthroughmarilynagainsthypocrisy.blogspot.com/
