'Oakdale Community Hospital', located in Oakdale, Caerphilly, Wales, has 20 beds including 2 Macmillan beds for palliative care. There is also a service for respite and continuing care patients.
The hospital was opened in 1915, and was a part of the planned Oakdale village which had started around 1911.
It is planned that Oakdale Hospital will be closed when a new unit is opened at Ystrad Mynach in 2010.[1]
