'Nynetjer' or 'Ninetjer' was the third king of the
Second dynasty of Egypt. He is mentioned on the
Palermo Stone and is known from mud sealings found in an underground gallery at
Saqqara which may have also been his tomb. There are numerous objects from his reign which is believed to have been fairly long and prosperous.
This impression was confirmed by Toby Wilkinson's analysis of the
Palermo Stone and Cairo Fragment One (CF1), concluding that these documents assigns Nynetjer a reign of "'40 complete or partial years'."
[1] He further notes that Palermo Stone
Register IV preserves Years 6-21 of Nynetjer while Cairo Fragment One records the last years and the end of this king's reign.
