'Uusimaa', or 'Nyland' in Swedish (''New Land''), is a region (''maakunta'' / ''landskap'') in Southern Finland. It borders the regions Finland Proper, Tavastia Proper, Päijänne Tavastia and Eastern Uusimaa.
