History

NuComm International was started in 1991 by its CEO Réal Bergevin. Réal had started in the call centre business by providing consulting to Canada's existing call centre companies. When he saw the opportunity to open his own centre and apply his technique, he jumped at the chance.
This is when they opened the head office in St. Catharines, Ontario. Between 1991 and 2006 they have opened many centres world-wide, with the most recents centres in Wichita, Kansas, Lafayette, Louisiana and Barrie, Ontario.
Since then NuComm has gone on to serve a wide variety of clients in many different fields. They have also been honoured in their own field by achieving the certification, being named one of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies 5 years in a row (starting in 2001) and Réal was also honored by being named one of Canada's Top 40 under 40 CEO's in 2002.
Currently, they are a leader in Canadian Call Centres.
According to an article in EuroInvestor.co.uk, on Aug 27, 2007 Nucomm International was purchased by Transcom Worldwide for $90 Million in cash.
