'North Bend' is a village in
Hamilton County,
Ohio,
United States, along the
Ohio River. The population was 603 at the
2000 census.
History
President
Benjamin Harrison was born in North Bend. His grandfather,
William Henry Harrison is buried in the
William Henry Harrison Tomb State Memorial in North Bend.
John Scott Harrison is the only man in U.S. history to be the son of a president and the father of a president. He was born in North Bend and is buried in his father's vault in North Bend.

According to the
United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 3.0
km² (1.2
mi²). 2.8 km² (1.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it (7.69%) is water.
Demographics
As of the
census of 2000, there were 603 people, 253 households, and 182 families residing in the village. The
population density was 215.6/km² (560.3/mi²). There were 290 housing units at an average density of 103.7/km² (269.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 99.83%
White and 0.17%
African American.
There were 253 households out of which 28.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.1% were
married couples living together, 8.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.7% were non-families. 24.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.38 and the average family size was 2.80.
In the village the population was spread out with 22.2% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 23.4% from 25 to 44, 31.2% from 45 to 64, and 15.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 43 years. For every 100 females there were 93.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.2 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $51,979, and the median income for a family was $60,833. Males had a median income of $45,000 versus $26,563 for females. The
per capita income for the village was $28,792. About 4.9% of families and 6.5% of the population were below the
poverty line, including 10.1% of those under age 18 and 4.5% of those age 65 or over.
