![]() | Native American Indian women's Eastern Blanket Dance Old footage of Native American Indian Eastern Dance. As Paiutes we had never seen this dance until we went to a major Pow wow back east. We drove from Reno Nevada to shores of the east coast to visit Pow wows of our Eastern brothers only to run into many people we knew from the western states, lol. One of the best things we did get to see, besides the beautiful shores of the Atlantic was we met some great people and got to see our first Native American Indian Women's Eastern Blanket Dance. We met a very nice Long Island New York Shinnecock Nation tribal person by the name of Josephine Smith who explains the Eastern Blanket Dance to us Paiutes. She describes and explains the dance beautifully twice at the end of the video. So we could understand the whole aspect of the dance. Shinnecock Nation of Long Island, New York. |
