MUSCULUS UVULAE
The 'Musculus uvulae' (Azygos uvulae) arises from the posterior nasal spine of the palatine bones and from the palatine aponeurosis.
It descends to be inserted into the uvula and is innervated by the pharyngeal branch of the vagus nerve via the pharyngeal plexus.
