'Molluscicides' are
pesticides used to control
molluscs, such as motts,
slugs and
snails. These substances include
metaldehyde,
methiocarb and
aluminium sulfate. They should be used with caution, as they can be harmful to non-target animals. Most molluscicides are not used in
organic gardening, though there are exceptions, such as
iron phosphate.
