METRO LOCAL
'Metro Local' is a bus service in Los Angeles County, operated by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. This designation was placed to differentiate it from the Metro Rapid service. Metro Local buses cover both local, limited-stop, and shuttle bus services.
Metro buses are given route numbers that indicate the type of service offered.
There are bus lines that are operated under contract with First Transit, Southland Transit, Transportation Concepts, and Laidlaw, mostly routes operated in the South Bay area.
Since December 17, 2006, Metro Local lines 204 and 233 used 60-foot NABI articulated buses.
