MAY 30 MOVEMENT

The 'May 30 Movement' (May 30, 1925) was a labor and anti-imperalist movement during early History of the Republic of China. It began when the Shanghai Municipal Police opened fire on Chinese strikers in Shanghai's International Settlement. The shootings sparked nation-wide anti-foreign demonstrations.
