'Maroantsetra' is a city in Toamasina Province, Madagascar. It is located at around . It lies at the end of the Antongila Bay.
The main road connection is national road 5 along the coast to Toamasina. There is also an airport.
In March 2007, most of the city was destroyed by the tropical cyclone Indlala.
