MANDARIN DRESS
'Mandarin dress' is a traditional Manchurian dress originally developed and worn by the Manchu. The distinct features of the dress include the tall collar and Mandarin buttons. After the Manchurians conquered China in 1644, the Manchurian court banned traditional Chinese dress and ordered all Chinese subjects to change to Manchurian dress. It contributes to the current confusion most outsiders have regarding "traditional" Chinese dresses, as most dresses labeled as Chinese are actually the dress of Manchu origin.
the traditional colour of clothing for chinese women is mainly black and red. they pin their hair up into a bun with fashionable pins.
