Nepal Maoist Mourn Their Fallan Comrades
The Communist Party of Nepal--Maoists Friday held a memorial service for the Maoist cadres who died in Wednesday's Rautahat carnage at Tundikhel's Khulla Manch in the capital. Maoist Chairman Prachanda draped party flags over the bodies as a mark of respect. Likewise, various top leaders including Baburam Bhattarai, CPN-UML General Secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal, Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Ram Chandra Poudel, NC-D leader Gopal Man Shrestha, Left Front's CP Mainali, Jana Morcha leader Lila Mani Pokharel and Bhikshu Ananda, among others expressed their condolences. According to the Maoists, the funeral for the deceased will take place at the Pashupati Aryaghat for Hindus and Swayambhu for Muslims and Buddhists.
