LONDON BOROUGH OF REDBRIDGE
The 'London Borough of Redbridge' is a London borough in North East London, England. The name comes from a bridge over the River Roding; it was made of red brick, unlike other bridges in the area made of white stone.
It includes the areas:

★ Barkingside
★ Clayhall
★ Cranbrook
★ Fullwell Cross
★ Gants Hill
★ Goodmayes
★ Grange Hill tube station
★ Hainault
★ Ilford

The Great Eastern Mainline from Liverpool Street station passes through the borough east to west with stations at Ilford, Seven Kings and Goodmayes. These are all planned to be on the cross-London Crossrail route.
The London Underground Central Line also passes through the borough, with stations at Snaresbrook, South Woodford and Woodford on the Epping branch and Wanstead, Redbridge, Gants Hill, Newbury Park, Barkingside, Fairlop and Hainault on the Hainault branch, following the route of the A12 road from Wanstead to Newbury Park. Grange Hill station lies directly on the boundary between the London Borough of Redbridge and Epping Forest, addresses lying to the right side of the station fall under London Borough of Redbridge whereas addresses to the left fall under Epping Forest.
The borough was formed in 1965 by the merger of the Municipal Borough of Ilford and Municipal Borough of Wanstead and Woodford with part of the Municipal Borough of Dagenham and part of Chigwell Urban District, all of which had previously been part of Essex.
Notable areas include the Cathedral City Estate, Garden City Estate, Commonwealth Estate, Woods Estate, Monkhams Estate, Knighton Estate, Firs Estate and the Nightingale Estate.
In June 2007 the Council introduced Redbridge i, an innovative new website using personalisation and customisation techniques.
