Llanfyllin Town Square
'Llanfyllin' is a small
town in
Powys,
traditional county of
Montgomeryshire, mid
Wales, lying on the River Cain by the
Berwyn Mountains. The town is known for its
holy well, dedicated to
Saint Myllin.
Granted its charter in the medieval era, Llanfyllin became a market town.
It is widely regarded as one of the most pleasant places to live in Powys, with a thriving group of small specialist shops and amongst the lowest crime rates in the area.
It has been the subject of recent books by the historian,
Richard Kretchmer.
