LEADERSHIP


Leaders and leading have been part of all human life since the beginning, but the word “leadership†appeared in English only in the mid-nineteenth century, in the context of the leadership of the British House of Commons[1]. In the 21st century, Leadership is a massive industry, largely because the performance of many organisations, from blue-chip companies to national governments, is so often seen as depending on how they are led [2].
