LEçA DA PALMEIRA

'Leça da Palmeira' (pron. ) is a Portuguese parish (''freguesia'') in the municipality of Matosinhos and part of the city with the same name. It has 5.97km² and had 17.215 inhabitants in the 2001 census.
It is home to the Port of Leixões, the country's second largest seaport, an oil refinery, and the football club Leça FC.
