'Laborie' is a Quarter on the Caribbean island nation of Saint Lucia, and also a village inside that Quarter. According to the 2002 census, the population of the Quarter was 7,414 people.[1] The village of Laborie is located about 27km south of Castries, the nation's capital.
Laborie is also the home village of the 7^th Prime Minister of St. Lucia, Dr. Kenny Anthony and first elected Prime Minister of an independent St. Lucia, Allan Louisy and current Governor General, Dame Pearlette Louisy.
