KEIHIN REGION

(Redirected from Keihin Industrial Area)
The 'Keihin region' (''keihin chihō'' 京浜地方) consists of the Japanese cities Ōta-ku, Kawasaki, and Yokohama. The term is mostly used to describe these cities as one industrial region. It is derived from the second character of Tōkyō, 京, which can be read ''kyō'' or ''kei'', and the second character of Yokohama, 浜, which can be read ''hin'' or ''hama''.
The Keihin region is part of the larger Kantō region.
