JOHN MATTHEW MITCHELL
'John Matthew Mitchell' (born 22 March 1925) was Assistant Director-General, 1981-84, and Senior Research Fellow, 1984-85 of the British Council.

Mr Mitchell served in the Royal Navy in World War II, 1944-6. He worked for the British Council from 1949 until his retirement in 1985.
