JOHN CRAIG EATON (CHANCELLOR RYERSON UNIVERSITY)

'John Craig Eaton' (born in Toronto, ~1937), philanthropist, is a former Canadian businessman and the great-grandson of Eaton's department store founder Timothy Eaton. He is married to Sally Horsfall Eaton, a philanthropist and registered nurse.
Mr. Eaton started working in the family business at Eaton's in 1954, becoming a Director in 1967 and being appointed Chairman of the Board in 1969.
In 2000 he was appointed Chair, Ontario Parks Board of Governors.
He is the son of John David Eaton and Signy Hildur Stefansson Eaton and the brother of George Ross Eaton, Thor Edgar Eaton, and Fredrik Stefan Eaton.
Mr. Eaton attended Upper Canada College and Harvard University.
Mr. Eaton is a supporter and former president of Ducks Unlimited Canada from 1990-1991
