JEAN BOLLAND
'Jean Bolland' (Latin ''Johannes Bollandus'') (August 18 1596, Julémont, near Liège - September 12 1665, Antwerp) was a Jesuit and hagiographer. Bolland compiled five vols. of the Lives of the Saints called ''Acta Sanctorum,'' which was continued by others, called after him ''Bollandists''.
