JARLS OF LADE
The 'Jarls of Lade' (Modern Norwegian) or 'Hlaðir' (Old Norse) were a dynasty of Norwegian rulers, influential from the 9th century to the 11th century. Lade is located in the eastern part of Trondheim, bordering the Trondheimsfjord. The Jarls of Lade were:
★ Hákon Grjótgarðsson, an ally of Harald Fairhair in the unification of Norway
★ Sigurðr Hákonarson, friend and advisor of Hákon the Good
★ Hákon Sigurðarson, king of Norway in all but name
★ Eiríkr Hákonarson, governor of the majority of Norway under Svein Forkbeard

★ Hákon Eiríksson, governor of Norway under Canute the Great
