JAN BREYDEL STADIUM

'Jan Breydel Stadium' is a multi-use stadium in Bruges, Belgium. The stadium - owned by the city - is the home stadium of Club Brugge and Cercle Brugge, it is used mostly for football matches. The stadium held 30,000 and was built in 1975. It is named after Jan Breydel, an instigator of the insurgent that lead to the Battle of the Golden Spurs. Prior to 1999 the stadium was known as 'Olympiastadion', i.e. the Olympic stadium in Dutch.
