''Jamésie'' region of Quebec

'Jamésie' is a territory in northwestern Quebec, Canada. It is located to the east of James Bay, after which the region is named. It has a land area of 303,473.27 km² (117,171.68 sq mi, or larger than the U.S. state of Arizona) and a 2006 census population of 28,190 inhabitants. Together with Nunavik, it is part of the Nord-du-Quebec administrative region. Chibougamau is the largest community in both Jamésie Territory and Nord-du-Québec.
