'IHI Corporation' (), formerly known as , is a Japanese company which produces ships, aero-engines, suspension bridges and other transport-related machinery. IHI turbochargers, commonly used in passenger automobiles, are manufactured by Ishikawajima-Harima. Boeing and General Electric Aviation have subcontracted parts of several models of jumbo jet aircraft out to IHI, as well as Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. It is listed in Tokyo Stock Exchange section 1. In the first quarter of 2005, its sales was over 1 trillion yen. (~$9 billion)
IHI was founded in 1853.
