 | ABAQUS : Multiphase Microstructure modeling applied in Machining Recently,surface integrity researches have shown high stress concentrations at second phase particles inside the material's multiphase microstructure that causes the particles to displace/debond/fail during severe deformation.The stress concentration gives rise to crack/void formation inside the material,a prime cause of accelerating the material damage/failure. This multiscale simulation shows high stress concentrations at second phase cementite particles in the microstructure of AISI 52100 steel during machining process. A thermomechanical large-deformation multiscale simulation developed in Abaqus. |
